Qualification:  Diploma - Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering.

Experience: 4   10 years

Job Description:

 Provides  hands-on  craftsman mechanic skill, primarily on diesel-powered equipment routine maintenance and repair to ensure highest level of equipment service and performance.
 Able to work alone with minimum supervision.
 Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of auto technicians to efficiently perform either shop or offsite work.
 Assists supervisor in scoping and developing cost estimates for non-routine maintenance activities. 
 Proven analytical skills utilizing acquired knowledge and experience to identify faults and suggest solutions in eliminating failures. 
 Detailed knowledge of craft practices, procedures and various troubleshooting techniques.
 Willing to work on shifts, extended hours and on 24/7 emergency call-out duty.
Assists employees of lesser capability and experience and aid in other trainee s development as directed by his supervisor.

Desired Profile:

 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engg or equivalent.
 Detailed practical knowledge & experience of machinery gained through an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar formal, structured training programme.
 Four years relevant experience in refinery or other related heavy/process industry, with major process plant manufacturers.
 Have a good knowledge of the principles, practices & technology associated with the installation, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment installed in refineries.
 Must have detailed knowledge of craft practices and procedures.
 Good communication skills in written and verbal English and able to write detailed reports and recommendations.
 Good leadership qualities with supervisory and organizational ability, able to issue clear and concise instructions.
Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques used in the industry.
