POSITION : Technical Lead - Design
QUALIFICATION : BE B. Tech / ME/ M. Tech / MS - Mechanical or Aeronautical
EXPERIENCE : 7 to 9 years
JOB CODE : Technical Lead design
The role is for design and development activities for aircraft actuation systems.
 Should be able to suggest and develop concept design for mechanical components which can fit into a higher assembly or envelop or system with defined interfaces.
 Should be able tostudy and understand the existing deigns and capable of suggesting improved solutions for new products.
 Capable of creating installation and assembly drawings by understanding the design interfaces on the aircraft or in the next level of assembly.
 Capable of understanding and follow the design standard works, procedures and process to ensure engineering standardization and quality.
 Prepare various design presentations and design trade studies.
 Provide product design support at all stages of the design process from initial requirements capture and proposal preparation, through detail design to manufacture and qualification within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
 Produce initial design calculations to enable initial design work to commence.
 Provide the required technical guidance to the team.
 Good knowledge and understanding on earlier assignments.
 Capable of producing optimized design with
- Manufacturability and thus the manufacturing cost considerations
- Weight considerations
- Material availability considerations
- Mistake proofing design considerations
 Preparation of detailed drawings with design standards having,
- Dimensions specified with proper GD&T compliances.
- Enough detailed views and dimension to enable manufacturing.
- Tolerances specified after tolerance analysis with interfacing parts.
- Surface finish specified suiting to the end use and environment.
- Material with proper heat treatment selected based on end use and stress requirements.
 Knowledge in Catia V5 desirable
