HOW TO DO ENGINEERING?

The word engineer is derived from the Latin word “ingeniar” or “ingenium” which literally means to devise in the sense of construct or craftsmanship.
Engineering is a branch of science and technology that deals with the designing of technology and feasibility of applications to the human kind in the easiest possible way.
Engineering is one of the oldest and preferred streams in our education system. This has been a favored career option among students after 10+2. Engineering offers students an opportunity to work in technical, scientific and mathematical areas in order to meet the growing demands of human needs.
The roots of technology can be traced to the beginnings of human civilization. The first technology discovered by our ancestors was the wheel, which considered as a boon for the development of society and ultimately ignited the process of development in science and technology.
“The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and property.”
This is how the American Engineers’ Council for Professional Development has defined engineering.
