Location: Hyderabad
Overall Role Description
A Designer (Instrumentation) applies his/her knowledge and experience of computer aided design tools - both 2D and 3D – to deliver quality instrumentation design for successful construction and operation of facilities. The Designer (Instrumentation) also coordinates with other discipline designers to ensure the quality of total design package while meeting cost and schedule objectives on a capital project.
Key Responsibilities
• Delivering quality Instrumentation design on a capital project while meeting cost and schedule objectives.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
• Diploma in Instrumentation engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in Instrumentation Design; preferably, a significant part of this experience using computer aided design tools such as Microstation and AutoCAD
• Minimum 3 years work experience in the use of 3D design tool PDMS
• Hands on experience in preparation of following documents
a. I/O Schematic Diagrams
b. Instrument Control Diagrams
c. Instrument Equipment List
d. Logic Diagrams
e. Instrument Data Sheets
f. System Diagrams
g. Part of P&ID preparation
• Hands on experience in using the tools such as PDMS, Microstation, AutoCAD etc.
• Knowledge of following standards would be a plus.
a) Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (IEEE) standards
b) Instrument Society of America (ISA)
c) Process industry practices (PIP)
• Results oriented and disciplined to follow project processes and best practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Willingness to learn from others.

The candidate must be self-motivated, have strong interest in project engineering as a career, and able to work effectively in a team environment with people at all levels that are geographically and culturally diverse. The ability to work independently with minimum oversight, manage multiple jobs simultaneously, organize work and set priorities is also required. The candidate will also be expected to coordinate with other disciplines and interface with overseas DuPont offices regularly; some overseas travel may be required.
